Chaos Blast

Users:

Power Prof., Shadow, Corey, Ed, Edd, Eddy, Chaos, Mecha Sonic, Mecha Shadow

Classification:

Energy

Chaos Blast is an attack in which the user releases a gigantic burst of Chaos Energy. It is by far the strongest Chaos attack in both this series, and the actual Sonic the Hedgehog canon.

Execution[]

The user charges massive quantities of Chaos Energy (which is usually the remainder of it) and glows in the color of what Super Form is being utilized. After enough Chaos Energy is charged, the user unleashes it all in an immense, expanding explosion which levels the user's surroundings. The blast is shown to be nothing short of devastating, and can even destroy the planet if the user is strong enough. As a result, however, the Chaos Blast drastically burns the user's reserves and can even force them to drop their Super Form if they pour too much power into it.

Usage in Canon[]

  • Power Prof. first uses it in Episode 11 against Drew, who recklessly ignores Corey's warning against rushing in.
  • Shadow uses the Chaos Blast in Episode 18 to obliterate G-merl.
  • Chaos performs the attack in the next two episodes against the Speed and Ki Control teams.
  • In Episode 21, Corey is able to use the Chaos Blast thanks to his Master Emerald-powered Super Form. And after removing his inhibitor bracelets, Shadow uses it as a last-ditch effort against Perfect Chaos.
  • The Chaos Blast appears once again in the following episode, where Edd (with a full-power Super Form) engages in struggle with Chaos' Blast. When Ed and Eddy joined in with their Blasts, the combined burst overcame Chaos.
  • In Episode 25, Mecha Shadow utilizes it to throw off Ed and Eddy. Shadow again tries to utilize it as a last resort, but his chrome clone evades with Chaos Control. Prior to the Mecha brothers' entrances, he erased several piles of mass-produced Androids with it.
  • Afterwards, Shadow uses the Chaos Blast semi-frequently against the villains when all else fails, but they all survive despite its raw power. In fact, he almost unleashes it in Episode 44 against the Powerpuff Girls, but he desists once he realizes that he'll destroy the planet if it is used in his Dark Form.
